Cole's ears...

 

 

EWE! I know. Gross!

 

This is what I have been dealing with.  Cole has had several ear infections but guess what......I have no clue when they happen!  In fact, he probably has had more than I even realize.

 

A lot of times when babies ears hurt they cry, or grab their ears.  Maybe they won't eat or drink well. Not Cole. He shows nothing. No fever, no sniffles, no nothing.

 

Often times when he does show those signs I take him to the doctor and they say "Nope his ears are clear."  I feel like I am either the worst mom ever, or just not in tune with my littlest, or a hypochondriac.

 

Really, I don't know when something is wrong until I suddenly see liquid pouring from his ear or this nastiness.  Can you even imagine?? My poor little man! 

 

Well, this infection bought him a ticket to Children's hospital where he was diagnosed with minor hearing loss, a lot of fluid in his ears and an absolute need for tubes.

 

Praying that they work!
