Trick or Treat
This Halloween we celebrated by throwing a costume party for the kids at Rhonda's house. OK OK so we did it to have an excuse to dress the babies up, and we had so much fun. The weather was perfect (68 degrees in October) and we were able to share the day with family and friends. Here are a few of the pictures I caught throughout the day. It was so hard to narrow them down! Such a fun day. Thanks Rhonda =)

Happy Halloween
Happy Halloween! I have been somewhat absent from by blog, but will do my best to keep up better. Halloween just happened to be a perfect time to start back up. Today I reflected on all that has happened in just 1 year. A year ago Jay and I sent out a very special Halloween card. It was a card that wished our close friends a Happy Halloween with a special message...another baby was on the way! It was not a trick, but an amazing treat.
Last year at this time we were celebrating Kyle's FIRST Halloween. I can remember feeling all the love in my heart for him, and the fear of having another baby. To say I was surprised to be pregnant so soon would be an understatement.
But, now here we are a year later celebrating Hailey's FIRST Halloween. It is incredible all that happens in a year. We went from being shocked we were pregnant to blessed and amazed by our beautiful little girl. I can't believe that in 1 year I went from sharing a heartbeat with this itty bitty stranger to today, celebrating her first Halloween where she is a beautiful, happy, healthy, thriving, dressed up 5 1/2 month old.
My cup runneth over for my two babies. I realize they truly are a gift. Angels sent through me by God. I don't know what next Halloween holds for us, but I know this Halloween truly showed me all that can happen and change in a year. The challenges we face, the love we share...its something no howl or ghoulish creature can destroy.

I hope your Halloween was as memorable and as special as ours. Full of fun tricks and yummy treats.
