New Year's Eve

Here it is New Year's Eve 2012. I can not believe another year has past.  It seems like since having babies the years fly by even faster. In 2013 Kyle is going to be FIVE. 5!!!!  It seems like such a HUGE thing!

I could sum up our year with highs and lows, lessons learned and mistakes made, happy and sad moments but I have this blog to look back on to remind me of all of our special moments.  That's why I have this thing dang it! =)

The truth is I have so many different thoughts and emotions running through me right now I am not even sure how to put it all into words, so instead I'll just let you know what we did today: The LAST day of 2012 and how we are celebrating the beginning of 2013 as a family =)

Today Jay took Kyle and Hailey sledding. They finally got to use the sleds Santa got them last year for Christmas!! (we had no snow last year!)

Hailey has been talking about making a snow angel since the first few snowflakes fell a month ago (but they didn't stick so she couldn't make one) Today she FINALLY got to make one.  She has been practicing on the kitchen floor for weeks now!

I have to say I am disappointed in myself. I did not get any decorations or fun 2013 hats or anything...SO NOT LIKE ME!!!  We did splurge and get Chinese for dinner.  Cole's first Chinese food experience, and his first New Year's Eve! =)

Next we played Candy land and Chutes and Ladders for the first time as a family.

I painted Hailey's nails blue and then we started to watch a little TV. Kyle and Hailey ASKED to go to bed at 9:30...I let them. =) Jay........

well he is in and out of sleep, has been for a couple hours now but I have no doubts I'll get my kiss at midnight =)

Hailey was very upset that we were not having anyone over for New Year; or that we were not going anywhere.  I guess I was a little bummed that we were going to be alone.  We could have gone out but for safety sake we stay home and the truth is I am glad we did.  The 5 of us are cozy, happy, and safe.  There is no where else in this world I would rather be saying goodbye to 2012 and welcoming 2013 than in the home we share as a family with the 5 of us.

I am so so blessed.  Thank you God for my wonderful home, my healthy and beautiful family, my incredible and hard working husband and for the life we share together.  I am a lucky lucky girl! =)

Happy New Year!

April is ONE!

Last year at this time we were WAITING for Miss. April and Friday she turned ONE!!
That was a FAST year!

Happy Birthday April!!!  We love you!

4 Christmases 2012

Christmas for us is VERY busy, but so full of family, fun, love, laughter and memories that we wouldn't have it any other way. =) This Christmas was a little extra special because it was Cole's FIRST Christmas!

Unfortunately my baby Cole was so sick!  He had a horrible cough and cold that hit him Christmas Eve night and a fever of 103; but other than him not being his normal happy self you would never know he was so sick.  He is an amazing little guy.

Christmas #1: Christmas Eve with my Father, grandmother and great Aunt.
My brother and his wife hosted Christmas Eve this year.  Something new for our family as we usually celebrate it in Peabody at my grandmothers house.  I have to admit it was a little sad not being in Peabody but my brother and his family did a wonderful job.

Christmas #2: Our Home!!!
Of course Santa came to our house....I have 3 amazing babies =)

He left their gifts in little piles for them...

Cole being oh so sick was the first one up at 4:30.  I have to say though I was up hanging out in my bed listening for the pitter patter of toddler feet running out to see what Santa brought for them, so it wasn't so bad.  He got to see his first ever gifts from Santa!

Next up was Kyle at 5am =).

He was so excited to see Santa ate the cookies we baked =)

and he tore through his pile of stuff before I could stop him and have him wait for Daddy and Hailey.

FINALLY at 5:45ish Hailey joined us....

She was so so so excited to see Santa brought her the Ariel dress.  She had to put it on right away!

Then it was time to open our gifts from under the tree, from friends, neighbors and each other.

Cole was safe here:

Because no where else in the room really was......

Holy presents!!!!

After opening a few toys, straightening up the best we could, tubbie and showers it was off to...

Christmas #3: My mothers house.

It was a little different this year.  My mom, her husband, sisters and brother Pip all exchanged and opened their gifts before we got there; and my brother Chris and his family were not there at all.  So it was the DeVincent family show....ripping open gifts and them all watching us!!  A little weird but how can I complain =)

Christmas #4 : Jay's parents
Christmas here was a momentous occasion it was Cole and April's (my niece) FIRST Christmas.

We had a wonderful Christmas. Really we had 4 amazing Christmases.  Everyone was so thoughtful and way too generous.  We literally got so much stuff that I do NOT know what to do with it all!  It is Crazy!  Here we are a week later and I am STILL trying to figure out where to put things.

We are so loved and so blessed,  I am so grateful for our family, and friends.  Thank you all for loving us, caring for us, and for being so generous!

Merry Christmas!!
