Kindergarten Minds =)

Every few weeks Kyle's teacher will send home a book with images or sentences that the kids wrote pertaining to a certain topic or relating to something they are studying in class.  The last few weeks Kyle has been speaking to me endlessly about our presidents. Specifically George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and Barack Obama.

He constantly asks about President Obama: what he likes? doesn't like? Does for fun?

Kyle has also been talking to me about electricity. Asks about it and talks about it all the time. So today when he brought home his book from school I knew which page was his right away. Not only by the subject on the page and by his writing but also by his art work...he is not into drawing and coloring =)

When I saw it, all I could do was laugh...with love.  I just love how his mind works =)

WHAT a DAY! =)

BIG day today!

The morning began with Hailey's "Someone I Love Tea". I am proud to say I was invited this year!  BUT I couldn't go.  Today was Kindergarten sign up so Hailey asked Daddy to go. It worked out.  She felt it would probably be better for him to go because "Daddy loved junk food and we made a lot of brownies and stuff; so daddy would probably really like to go. Plus if he comes he can drive me home in a truck." =)

After dropping her off at school Cole and I went to sign Hailey up for kindergarten!  KINDERGARTEN!!!  My Buglet in kindergarten!!!!  Where I also learned she really may be going to school full day next year....=(

When they got home we had some lunch and then took off with friends to bowl and play games.

Once Cole found this toss game he would not leave it. He demanded to play "Ma Ma! MAMA!!!"

A day full of excitement and that made up for a little fun lost over February vacation. THANKS Friends =)

O-R-E-O

How do you eat an Oreo cookie??

Cole splits them.

Picks out the cream,

eats the cream,

and then between playing and dancing may or may not eat the actual cookie =)

Love that cookie face!

Cha Cha Cha Changes

I was giving Cole a bath tonight and I was just staring at him.  Watching him.  Observing him splash and play in the bath tub.  Then, it hit me.  He is changing!

He still has his sweet baby face, but its changing.  he is becoming a little boy, and getting his little boy face.

My baby won't be a baby forever.....I HATE that.  But I adore him and love watching him grow and change.

How could I not love watching this guy?!?!?!

February Flop

Last week was February vacation and it was a flop! I admit, I wasn't ready for it.  I thought I had another week before the February break.  With all the half days, Mondays off and snow days since December break, this vacation week snuck up on me.

However, despite my confusion we ended up with a fully booked vacation week. Bowling, movies, time with family, time with friends, time with family visiting from New York.  I was looking forward to it, and I was really looking forward to getting out of the house!  With so much snow and bitter cold temperatures its hard to bring the kids out.  I am definitely getting a little stir crazy and so ready for time out of the house.

Saturday Jay took Kyle and Hailey to the monster truck show.
WOW! How times have changed! Instead of 30 guys, pizza, beer and a party bus its Jay and 2 of his 3 kids =)

The next day we had not 1 but 2 birthday parties!

Monday, we relaxed and I caught up on some housework. I didn't feel right though.....Oh well! We had a week of fun planned and I would be fine.....

BUT Cole wouldn't be.  12:30am Tuesday morning I woke up to my littlest baby dry heaving in his sleep. Then he got sick...really sick.

Later that day my temperature sky rocketed to 104.1 and I was diagnosed with strep. BOOM! Vacation over, we are now housebound!

Tuesday night Jay got sick, Wednesday Kyle....both with the stomach bug and then to top it off Thursday Kyle was diagnosed with strep!

SERIOUSLY???? Twice in a month.....twice in 1 months time span we are battling strep and the stomach bug!  I scrubbed, I Lysoled, I bleached.......its been a lot of disinfecting.  Every doorknob, every toy, every surface...you get the point.

Our vacation was like this:

My poor little babies.  If that's not enough both Hailey and Cole were diagnosed with strep today.
CRAZY!!!!!!

With the house disinfected and all of us on antibiotics I am now just praying for spring and that this is the end of all nasty germs.

Sorry February vacation was a flop my little ones.  We will have to do some fun stuff over April break =)

Waitin'

When we get to Hailey's school,(as long as he is not sleeping) be it to drop her off or pick her us Cole runs straight for the little room in the corner.

He plays with the magnet board.

Then mossies over to the table where he sits on the little stool and does a puzzle =)

He is getting good at it too!

That's how we wait =)

Valentine's 2014

Sure, I know Valentine's Day is just a Hallmark holiday. We all tell each other everyday "I love you." We don't need a holiday, rhyme or reason to celebrate our love, or our family; but I think its fun that there is one! Hey, any reason to celebrate...right? =)

Thinking we would more than likely have a snow day Thursday I saved doing/making Valentine's for that day.

Kyle being in kindergarten actually got to give Valentine's this year to his friends.  I thought we would get crafty and make our own. Thankfully I bought back ups.  Kyle is not into crafty =) He gave Doc McStuffins Valentine's for the girls and the boys, Turbo valentine's.  He put thought into them though.  He chose which little card to give for each person. "Ashley's favorite color is yellow, so this one. Ty is fast like me so this one."

Hailey's school does not allow Valentine's so she colored and drew pictures. A.K.A Hailey heaven

Cole. He mostly annoyed Hailey.

He wanted to be in the middle of all the chaos, which is ultimately what it was

When the kids came home from school we baked a cake for daddy.

Not just any cake....

We made a vanilla cake, and dyed it pink. We cut out the pink hears and baked them into a chocolate cake so when you cut into it you saw pink hearts in your slice. It kinda worked =)

We were planning to going out for dinner but with the snow the night before Jay was running late after the auction so we stayed in.  But I can't complain. We had our own little party =)

We exchanged little gifts, and enjoyed a delicious dessert.

Then, topped the night off  with a concert.

Yeah, it was a pretty perfect Valentine's Day.

I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!!
Thank you for being mine and for choosing me!
