LOVE

I think this year was one of the best Valentine's Days ever!  Strange considering my husband was sick, LOL.  Unfortunately Jay was sick so our date night was once again detered BUT it was Valentine's Day and I was not about to waste it.  I LOVE my family every day.  Valentine's day just gave me an excuse to show them I love them with a PARTY.

What a party it was.  We started with some fresh bruschetta toasted with some fresh mozarella and shrimp cocktail.  Then everyone got to have their favorite dinner.  Jason and I had baked haddock and the kids, pasta with alfredo sauce.  For dessert a delicious chocolate cake with pink frosting.  Baked and decorated by my 2 babies.
Thats not all.  We had PRESENTS too. My Mom stopped by earlier in the day and Jay's parents stopped by for dessert.  The kids got all sorts of love tokens, as did I thanks to my husband who spoils me =) Although, according to Shyane, "I am not spoiled I am blessed" (I tend to agree)

So though my husband wasn't feeling well we made the best of it and had a really special Valentines day, truly filled with love and adoration for one another.

I love my husband more and more each day.  I love the lives we have created together and the life we share.  Though I don't need Valentines Day to know or to feel that, it was nice to have a special day and a special party to celebrate.

I love a party, and I love to celebrate these 2:

Hope your Valentines Day was full of love.  Ours really was =)

Darn Diapers

I know, I know Kyle should be potty trained by now!  Thankfully, the doctor does not judge me....you other judgmental moms out there...you know who you are.

We talk about potty training. We read books about potty training. He just does NOT want to use the potty.  I tried putting underwear on him....foggetaboutit. Hoping he won't be in diapers too much longer I thought I had to post about how grown up he is getting.  Now when I say "Go in your room so I can change your diaper". Or when he tells me he pooped he goes in his room and does this:

He climbs up and waits for me.  I find it to be funny and entertaining.  I also find it incredible how much he understands, comprehends and does on his own.  Not such a baby anymore =(

As annoyed as I get that he has no interest in potty training, its hard to be mad at this face:

Who knows, maybe by him waiting I will get him and his sister potty trained at the same time.

No Go Home

I have no fun or cute pictures to coincide with this blog post.  Really its not a post you will probably take much interest in.  I really just want to type about my day with my babies so I don't forget it a year from now.

It is Wednesday so our day began at "Music Together Now".  Where Kyle kind of annoyed the teacher because he really just ran around most of the class.  I was annoyed and embarrassed.  The other Mom's told me "don't worry about it."  I think because their kids were running around right with him.  This is normal.  He usually runs around a little but eventually comes to his musical sense and joins the circle to sing and dance.  NOT TODAY.  The bright side is that there was something in the air because even the seemingly quiet kids were rowdy and a little out of control.

Another shining moment, Hailey joined in the class a little more today too. She really liked the "egg" shakers.  She waved her arms and hit the floor when she was supposed to, SO CUTE!  She even got off my lap a few times.

After class we ran an errand and then I said "lets go home." Kyle did NOT want to go home: "No, no go home mama. Lets get lunch".  It was such a strange and random request that I had to oblige. So after driving around a bit we went to the "Piccadilly".  Kyle ate crackers, french fries, a hot dog, a roll, some carrots, and half of Hailey's macaroni and cheese. SCORE!!!!  Hailey, well she ate a few crackers and a french fry or two.  Hey if taking them out to lunch means food in the belly...I AM IN!

See really not an exciting post.  But, a post for me to look back and remember a random wonderful lunch with my 1year old and my 2 year old.  A lunch where everyone in the restaurant came over to tell me how cute they are and how well behaved.  They were shocked to learn their ages. It was just a good day. A day I never want to forget!

Picturesque!

They said, "take pictures Mama"

So of course, I HAD to oblige.
Granted it isn't always easy to snap the perfect picture.
Especially when there are two models, that don't always accommodate my photographic needs.

But when you snap a good one,

It makes a photo shoot well worth it!

CHEESE!!!
In case you weren't sure....HE is the Big Brother and SHE is the Little Sister =)

Gymnastics!

Kyle and Hailey have had 2 gymnastics classes and they LOVE it.  Today my Mom came with us so it gave me a small opportunity to snap some photos.  Granted they aren't the best, but at least its something to show off some of their skills and show how much they like it =)

They are fearless and climb up, on and around anything and everything.  They have so much fun!  Looking forward to the next 18 weeks =)

Snow Paint

With snow surrounding our house like this:
Its kind of hard to play IN it.  However, with temperatures in the warm mid 30's we could not just waste the day. Hailey wasn't feeling well, and still had a fever so it was just Kyle to entertain.

I finally saw the snow was like an easel. A blank canvas for my artistic son to paint on.
With tubby paint in hand we hit the snow.  You could also fill up spray bottles with water with food coloring (but I didn't have food coloring).

He LOVED it.  He told me all about it.

Maybe we can't be little snow bunnies, or make a snowman because the snow is so darn deep, but we could make pictures of them =)
