A Day at the Park

It was the first sunny day in approximately a month, so I thought Kyle and Hailey would enjoy a walk to the playground to run free and play:

Who would have thought I wore them out =)

1 month supermodel shots =)

My 2 babies. Kyle was giving Hailey kisses. LOVE THEM

Hailey's 1 month well baby visit

June 15, 2009

It was Hailey's first well baby visit. The doctor was so impressed with how strong she was. Lifting her head and having so much control. She grew 1/2 inch, but did not gain any weight in a month. It was and actually still is concerning. I have tried everything to help her eat. Different formula, different bottles..I even had bottles sent to me from Ireland to try to get her to eat better. We had to go to the doctor every week for about 3 weeks to see she was still not gaining very much. The doctor said if he did not know about the weight she would be "the picture of health"

I just kept trying and trying...we'll get this! My baby girl is a gift and I know she will be OK, but how does a mommy not worry?

She is so strong and beautiful, truly an angel sent to us.

A "bump" to Remember

I have not been on in a while so I have soo much to catch up on. So, from where we left off....

The "Caseys" were in town; Matt Casey and Elise Berkowitz, my two near and dear friends who ended up together. I was so excited to see them and introduce them to my two babies. After catching up for a bit in the backyard I gave them a tour of the house leaving Kyle outside with Daddy and Grandpa. Needless to say when I came back out I found this:

I was so angry and embarrassed! How could 2 grown men let this happen?!?!? But, I think it hurt me more than it hurt him because he hardly even cried. I thought the next day my poor baby boys face was going to be swollen, black and blue..but it actually was already clearing up. I think sometimes injuries hurt mommy more than they hurt baby.
