An Unsuccessful Event

Since announcing we were expecting the arrival of our daughter two years ago with a Halloween card it has become a Halloween tradition to send a picture card.
2009's Halloween photo
This years Halloween photo shoot was even harder than last years.  It took 2 hours to get last years photo.  This year we were out there for 90 minutes and I had to call it quits. I am so disappointed!  I got several of Kyle that were pretty cute, and only 2 of Hailey that were just O.K.  Can you believe my supermodel girl just had O.K pictures today?? OF ALL DAYS!  What is the most disappointing was I could not get one of the 2 of them together.  In the end a tradition is a tradition and so I had to "make it work!"

Like I said, not the best pictures but they are usable, and really the card only goes to family..its not like its our Christmas card (which literally is sent to everyone!)

I still have hope to capture some fabulous photos. We have a Halloween party Saturday and of course The DAY is Sunday sooo.....

Good Luck to me and Happy Halloween (a little early) from us!

The GREAT Debate

In case you did not know Hailey is a copycat.  She says and does everything that Kyle says and does. I mean this quite literally.  As in any and all brother-sister relationships there is natural sibling rivalry as well.  They seem to want whatever the other has.  On this night...the fight....a CHAIR!

Maybe it was a little mean to record the crying antics, but I couldn't help but try to capture at least one ridiculous moment in time.

Are you wondering how this fight ended??? As soon as Kyle was done Hailey sat there. Kyle realized she was there and suddenly was not done anymore. When Dad came home all was right in the world and both children forgot about the chair.

Know who sits there now for EVERY meal....HAILEY! She moved from the end of the table (where she had been for months) to the new seat (which is actually the old seat).  I found it rather funny how determined this little one year old is, and realize how in trouble I really could be when she gets older.

She may have lost that battle, but she won the war at the table.

Leaves!!

Raking the leaves up kinda sucks....

Watching my babies play in them...makes it well worth it!
Happy Fall!

Love Them!

Sometimes, they just really make my day!!!

Aren't they cool????

Dance Party

I was wondering where everyone went at Grandma's and when I found them...I found this:

Discovery!

I had did not know about a small Children's museum in Acton until recently.  Once I learned about it I HAD to take the kids.  So, off we went to spend the day.  It was FUN and I highly recommend it =)

After we got pizza and headed home.  The kids had a fun and exhausting day.  I really enjoyed watching them play and explore =)

B-Day

Kyle made Grandma a Birthday cake!

Doesn't it look delicious???

It even had candles...see the paintbrushes???
 Was is Grandma's birthday???..... NO!
So how do I KNOW it was a birthday cake??

Kyle and Hailey sang to her!!!
So Happy Birthday Grandma, 2 months late OR 10 months early =)

Who needs a Park?

While the Men were at play (Man Weekend) I had to escape from my premises and entertain my children for the weekend. After a much needed haircut for Kyle, Grandma thought is would be a great idea to visit Toys R' Us.  She had promised Kyle a guitar (he loves music and begged Grandma for a guitar, which of course she could not resist).

It was a windy and rather chilly day so when the kids spent HOURS in Toys R'Us playing I realized how truly valuable this establishment could be.

Here in 1 aisle my children had fun going up and down playing in the power wheels. Which didn't even move!

Their favorite by far was the Cadillac Escalade. Every time we go there they race for the Escalade.  Even with a police car right there!

They would open the door and kiss me hello and goodbye, it was a priceless and fun day.  So if you need to get out, but the weather isn't so great for outdoor activities go to Toys R'Us.  Your kids really will love it, and you feel like a kid again too!
