First Dance

Last night we celebrated the 50th anniversary of Jay's Aunt and Uncle.  50 years!!!  I thought we were married a long time with our 6th year coming up......looks like we still have forever to go =).

If 50 years of marriage isn't special enough, I caught Jay and Hailey's first official father- daughter dance.

Buglet was a little dancing machine.  Kyle got her started, and she was ready to dance the night away.  She even got the dance party officially started.  Once the dance floor was really opened up for the night she was the first one on the floor getting the grown ups to bust a move! =)

LOVE my family!

Kyle's 4

I can not believe Kyle is 4 years old! Where did the time go? I can already see a difference between ages 3 & 4.  He thinks more, converses more.  He really is growing up so much.  I am proud of the little guy he is becoming =).

His celebrating began a week and a half ago when he got to bring cupcakes to school.  Unfortunately, I didn't snap a pic. mostly because I barely remembered to bake them the night before, despite me telling myself all day long to remember to bake them. However, they were chocolate cake with chocolate frosting per Kyle's request, and everyone loved them =)

Last Monday we celebrated Kyle's birthday as a family 4-some at Chuck E' Cheese

This weekend we celebrated Kyle turning 4 with family and friends =) and what an AMAZING day.  Not only were we surrounded with love and generosity but we had gorgeous weather.  We were nervous because we had been keeping an eye on the weather and it was all over the board: sunny, rainy, cold, hot; but we lucked out with a beautiful sunny day in the low 70's. Considering, Kyle's birthdays have always been cold and/or rainy we really lucked out. =)

So Kyle's Diego themed party was a true success

He was very excited to see what the cake Auntie Karen was going to bring was going to look like.  (Thanks Auntie Karen!!)

We are SO BLESSED!!  Happy 4th Birthday Kyle! Mommy and Daddy love you so very much and are excited to celebrate everything in life with you.  Thank you for being OUR baby!!!!!
and THANK YOU to all of our friends and family for joining us and making Kyle feel so loved and so special =)

Daddy Love

Jay has been working so much lately, and had so much going on that the little ones miss him.  Especially Kyle.

Whenever the kids can be with him, help him, just be around him they do. Jay has been working hard to get the yard ready for spring, and wants it done by this weekend for Kyle's birthday.

Tonight, he brought home some rock to lay in the yard.  Both the kids helped in between bites of dinner and dessert, but after dessert I snuck Hailey in and gave her a tubby so Daddy and Kyle could have a little quality time.

I just love watching them together.  Kyle copies everything Jason does to a "T".

He soo just wants to be like Daddy.

I don't know.  Maybe for most this is just a nothing moment, or another "day in the life of" moment but for me its like watching magic.

I just adore them both so much.  They amaze me everyday.

I hope Daddy knows how truly loved he is!

Hair-tastrophe!!!

This morning for the most part was just a regular morning. I admit I was taking things slowly, and on-line a lot, e-mailing and what not planning and organizing things for all sorts of events.  I just finished reading an e-mail when Hailey walked into the room carrying her Minnie Mouse doll.  She asked "What do you think of our bangs trim?"  To be honest I didn't really look at her, and I said "its great buggy!" We just got her bangs trimmed on Monday so I really didn't think anything of it.  Then I took a second glance, and then a third.  I must have had a strange expression on my face because she just quickly turned the other way and walked out of the room.

I followed her out and asked "Hailey, did you really cut your bangs hunny?" She said nothing and gave me a shy little smirk.  I could tell she was starting to get upset.  I looked at her, and she burst into tears!  I assured her I wasn't mad, and investigated where she got the scissors from and where she cut her hair.

The other day I brought a small pair of scissors into her room to cut some string off of her new shoes, and I put the scissors in a basket way up on her bureau. I didn't think of them again.  She climbed up and got them out! Then, she must have just sat on her bed and had a little conversation with Minnie; combed out her bangs and snipped away, because there was a little pile of hair right next to her bed........

I guess at this point it is what it is! We will have to work with what we have, and wait for them to grow out.

There she is, my little girl: with her 3T shirt 12mo. skirt (that is still too big), and her new hair cut.

Gotta LOVE HER!!!! xoxoxox

A Very Happy Un-Birthday!

Marathon Monday four years ago (4/20/08) we brought Kyle home from the hospital; on this day four years ago (4/16/08) I was in labor with my first baby. Today was the perfect day to celebrate him.  Jay wasn't going to be able to get around easily for work due to the marathon so we had a little family day to celebrate Kyle's birthday/last day of being 3 years old.

It was HOT today...in the 80's!!  You would think we would have gone to watch the marathon or spent the day outside, but no.  We went to Chuck E' Cheese!  Kyle has been begging to play "toss ball" (skeet ball) for weeks, and we thought it might be a fun thing for him to do for his birthday. SO off we went and we had a blast!!!

After some fun and some games it was time for some lunch; and some un-birthday cake =)

After lunch we used the rest of our tokens.

After a fun filled morning we were off to get Kyle his final haircut as a 3-year old.

Next we were off to Toys R' Us for a huge birthday surprise for Kyle.

A NEW CAR!!!!!! He picked the red one =)

While Daddy went to another store to pick it up we went to the playground to soak up some vitamin D.

It was a fun family day.  A great memory and a wonderful way to celebrate Kyle's Un-birthday.  I can't believe he is going to be 4 tomorrow!!!

My goodness how time flies even faster when you have kids.  I love my Tidbit!  I love my family!  I love my life! =)
