When the kids got out of school in June it rained...all the time. In July it was so hot and so humid they didn't want to do anything. Between weather and my foot injury I feel like we have had a pretty dull summer. I thought we would have been to a few zoos by now, the aquarium would have been seen, maybe another weekend get away or 2, but nope NOTHIN'. I mean we had a good summer, but I don't feel it was a great one.
I have been wanting to surprise the kids and take them to Davis' Farmland; but with their activity schedule it needed to be on a Friday. Well the last few Fridays despite my best efforts I have had to bring Kyle to Martial Arts. NOT today though! Today we had no where we needed to be. Sure we are out of some basics and I should go to the store, but that's why there is tomorrow. Today I am going to surprise the kids and take them to the one place they have been asking to go for months....Davis' Farmland!
It was a last minute, spur of the moment decision and I am so glad we went!
I think it has been 2 years since the last time we were there, and it has changed SO MUCH. Now they have a moon bounce, more play houses and play grounds..
Of course we had to see all the animals.
Kyle and Hailey were not happy I made them go on the hay ride. They were dying to go to the splash pad.
But, we couldn't skip the hay ride! It was Cole's first!
We sat and waited so long for this guy to eat that by the end they loved the hay ride, and I was over it =)
I thought once we got off the ride that we would head straight to the splash pad, but it inspired more animal exploring.
THEN, it was off to the water zone!

Hailey liked the area but wasn't about getting soaked.
Kyle loved the bubbles. He was off on his own in there. That's what is so great about Davis' the kids can run around and play,and even if you lose eyes for a minute you know they can not leave the park without you.
Hailey was pretty much done with the water, and determined to have ice cream. Why not? Its all about fun today =)
Kyle had a few bites and went back to the bubbles. Hailey ate like they dainty girl she is and Cole, well he was a chocolate mess and screamed for more!
There is no better way to get cleaned off than back into the water =)
or bubbles...whichever you prefer =)
By 3:15 I thought we were done and headed home. We weren't. There was more fun to be had in Adventure Land....
We got there around 10:30 and just about closed the park, leaving at 5:30.
It was such a good day! It has been so long since I took them somewhere FUN, just me and them. I loved it! I love watching them grow up, and play, learn and explore.
