This Morning

I woke up this morning with a huge smile and a day that started full of love. Hailey was in bed with us at 2 am and Kyle came in with us around 5. Approx. 6am They woke up snuggling one another face to face.
Kyle said "Hi Yayey"
Hailey popped her head up with a smile that could light up the universe.
Kyle sat up and said "Hi Yayey" again and then helped Hailey to sit up. They then hugged and kissed and said Hi for a few minutes and then came over to me where I woke up to hugs and kisses. Who needs coffee? I have all the energy I need waking up with love like that =)

So Much, So Fast

Babies seem to grow so fast! Kyle is already 2, Hailey is going to be 1 in a few weeks. It's CRAZY! What is even more crazy are the things they do. Hailey(who is a peanut fitting in 6 month clothes at nearly 12 months) is doing so much in just the last few weeks:
- She now has 2 teeth.
- She is GREAT with the sippy-cup.
- Hailey is able to climb up on the furniture AND get down.
- Then there is the walking; which she has been able to do for a while but is doing a lot more often now.
-She is TALKING, yes TALKING. not just Mama and Dada either. Up, Hot, Sit, Please, Thank You, Cup, Stop, No. Well, I won't bore you with the list but its great!
-Hailey can get on her ride on toys and pushes herself around the house

It all happens at once!

It's Just a Saturday

It was just another Saturday. It was gorgeous outside. the day started a little cool and then warmed up to a wonderful 72 degrees. The morning started with bubbles and playing in the grass.

Then, Kyle helped Daddy lay some loom to grow some grass in places where we had removed some bushes and trees.
Later we went across the street to share the day with our new neighbors. Hailey had way too much fun with this pail, and I enjoyed them feeding my family because I had not gone food shopping =)

Jay and I had fun relaxin' in the sun with our new friends and the kids entertained themselves all day. Hailey was even kissing boys!! Yup, looks like her new neighbor Brady may be her first little boyfriend. They were kissing up a storm..don't talk to Daddy about it, he really didn't handle it well when I first told him about it.

THE Two-Do

Kyle's 2nd Birthday Party was GREAT! Despite the cold rainy weather (darn you mother nature..70 degrees 2 weeks in a row and the week after) the day went really well and I think everyone had fun =) Kyle and Jason had matching birthday t-shirts. For some reason Kyle would NOT wear his. He has never given me a hard time about what he wanted to wear before but that day he did (that is when the terrible 2's began). Jay wore his though, I was so proud.

Karen, (Kyle's Auntie) made a wonderful and delicious Caillou cake.

For Kyle's 1st birthday he cried and was miserable because he was so tired and would not nap. This year he slept for the first two hours of his party. I am so sad because I wanted to share the happy birthday video but due to technical difficulties it didn't work out. There are only a few pictures of this special moment because instead of holding the camera I was holding back the tears of pride, excitement, laughter, and well pretty much every emotion a mother can experience. Kyle really loved everyone singing Happy Birthday to him and he let everyone know with his huge smile, clapping hands, and Thank Yous =)

Next, it was time to open presents! I thought with all the presents that were there it would take a while. I was very wrong. I think every child at the party except for Kyle opened a gift. The kids all opened the presents so fast it was hard for me to acknowledge everyone with a proper "thank you" . It was fast, I worked up a good sweat, but it was fun.
Hailey Bug LOVED ALL the food, but especially the cake.
Then, somehow the party ended up in our bedroom. All of Kyle's b-day presents and toys that were in his room ended up in my room and all the boys (including my Dad) grabbed a binky and played on my bed. It was weird, but the kids had a BLAST so why tell them no?? It's a PARTY!
All in all it was a wonderful day, that made a great memory. I can't believe the day has already come and gone. I can't believe Kyle is 2.

Planning the Two-Do

I can not believe my baby boy, my "sun" is going to be two on Saturday! I can remember exactly what I was thinking and feeling 2 years ago. It is crazy how fast time goes by. I fortunately get to be a stay at home mom and I am savoring every second of my children's lives. I am excited for all the future has to offer; but I am focused in on the now and loving it.We are throwing a party for our wonderful 2 year old, and are super excited for all our family and friends to share the day with us. Obviously we are going with a Caillou theme because he seems to be Kyles favorite character these days.

Very Excited for Saturday =)

The Little Things

It really is some of the littlest things that truly bring joy to my world. Hailey being able to swing her little leg over the toy horse and bounce on it with such vigor is one thing.

Seeing Hailey drink from her sippy cup with her little pigtails is another.

Kyle trying to blow bubbles is another. He is so easily entertained by this soapy fun, and watching him learn to do something as simple as blowing bubbles makes me smile.

What makes me smile everyday is watching Kyle and Hailey together. I am amazed that I made them and that they will always have each other. They may not always like one another but there is always love. That is a big thing that makes my life feel fulfilled.

Piggies

First Pigtails

kids!

Kyle took Hailey by the hands and started to help her walk. Jason asked "Does he do this all the time?" I was just so shocked I grabbed the camera and got what I could, this was a moment I had never seen before and definately wanted to be able to look back and see again =)

My Baby Boy

Kyle seems to be more and more like a little boy and less and less like my baby. I love it and I hate it. It is incredible watching him grow and learn. He lets me know his wants and needs. He communicates with me more and more. Today he wanted his lawn mower....he remembered it from last summer. It is just a small thing that just amazes me and makes my heart melt. LOVE HIM!

Now What?

I came out from cleaning the bedroom because I heard both my babies yelling "bus, bus". I could hear the street sweeper coming up the street but wanted to see there little faces. I wanted to watch Kyle climb up the chair to look out the window and watch Haileys little face as she looked up at her big brother in admiration (I love those moments as a Mommy). To my SHOCK what do I see?? Miss. Hailey Bug on the chair NEXT to her big brother. What is this?? She can climb now? Don't most babies walk before they climb? She is one tenacious and determined little thing. My heart skips beats as I watch her, but she can get down too!! By herself!

Later in the day we went outside to enjoy the warm weather and sun. I had to run into the garage to get balls for Kyle to play with and when I came out what do I see??? Hailey IN THE HOUSE. She climbed up the stairs and into the house. In fact as I was coming out she was trying to come down! A bit later I actually got to witness her climbing. She is like a living doll crawling, kinda walking and climbing around. =)

Big Boy Bed II

I TOTALLY forgot to blog this. The toddler bed was a flop. Kyle would NOT sleep in it. He was STILL in our bed every night. I even tried having the toddler bed in our room and it was a no-go. My mother had mentioned that some kids just do not do well in the toddler bed and suggested we try the twin bed. In a bed exchange (our old queen bed) we got a twin bed for Kyle aka Big Boy Bed #2. It has taken a few weeks. Kyle is still falling asleep in our bed, but now when I put him in his bed HE STAYS IN IT AND HE SLEEPS IN IT THE ENTIRE NIGHT!!!! I am not getting my hopes up but it has been 4 nights of him in his bed (did I mention it was his OWN BED) for the whole night. I don't want to jinx it. So I am spinning backwards and spitting to the left while snapping and knocking on wood. Not that I mind him in the bed with us..OK I miss him a little BUT I know this is a GOOD thing, no a GREAT thing. We are all sleeping better thanks to Big Boy Bed II.

What? What Did She Say?

Hailey seems to be talking now. Yup, I said it TALKING. Not just Mama, Dada, Bubba and some sounds that make up her baby conversations either. Those are nothing to what she has been saying. In the last few days she has said: "Thank You, Bye, Bye Bye, Bus, Hi, Sit, Up and Yum. I even had her repeat them a few times because I was in such shock. A lot of #2 babies tend to talk later because they have an older sibling to talk for them. Not my Bug! Can't wait until we share secrets =)

Egg-cellent Easter

So, I know Easter is a very special and religious holiday, but that was a little "lost" for me this year. I was SO EXCITED about the Easter Bunny treats, and of course extra excited for Hailey's First Easter =) The bunny brought special baskets. Kyle got Caillou movies, and a Caillou doll (which he hates). He also got Shrek and Shrek 2 to add to our baby DVD collection. Hailey Bug got barrettes for her forever growing locks, sippy cups, and The Princess and The Frog. I waited and waited for them to wake up and see their baskets of fun.
They both LOVED their goodies. Kyle told me about everything he saw on the Caillou Dvd covers. Car, Caillou, Plane..etc etc

Hailey tore through her basket. I loved the fun and excitement on her face..her FIRST Easter!

The cute picture of the 2 of them didn't go so well; again...Kyle was minus the sweater vest because it was almost EIGHTY degrees..YAY!!!

Then it was off to Grandmas (My Mom) where there were MORE Easter basket treats

Hailey LOVED this car. She even got in and out and rode around by herself. Good thing Grandma got her a princess pink one for the backyard =)Then it was off to see Grandma and Grandpa DeVincent; where there were not only MORE Easter baskets and treats waiting but an egg hunt too! Hailey and Kyle had fun looking for their eggs. I think Kyle was more excited to break them open and get the treats inside.

Overall it was a fun day, full of love, food and TREATS! Hope everyone had a Happy Easter =)
