Another must in Falmouth, Woods Hole!
Its a nice walk, or a short drive away and a great way to spend a morning or an afternoon. Also, there always seems to be something going on there. For instance when we were there a film festival was about to begin.
The kids always love the aquarium. My babies are all about fish, the ocean, and learning.
Kyle was a little disappointed, he thought we were going to the "New England Aquarium" and was upset we couldn't see any "big sharks". After a small scene and a small promise to go back to the "big aquarium" things went back to good, and he enjoyed the fish the Woods Hole aquarium had to offer.
Then it was off to get some grub. Jason and I have walked down before in the morning and had some Fabulous treats at "Pie in the Sky" (which was totally on Phantom Gourmet). But its a great place for lunch or dinner as well.
This was the second time we ended up at the "landfall" restaurant. I love that you can sit outside and enjoy a few cocktails with your food. However, there are several other restaurants that I have hears fabulous things about.
After lunch, and a few cocktails (don't judge me I was on VACATION); We went to the touch tank. Did you know there was a touch tank in Woods Hole and NOT in the aquarium? I didn't either. A woman invited Jason and the kids in (I was finishing my libation) because it was feeding time.
It was fun for all! So, next time you're in Falmouth hit up Woods Hole. I would like to experience the area without the kids sometime. There are so many ins and outs that I feel like it can be a little hard to navigate with a lot of children. PLUS there are some cute little pubs and etc. that I feel a little weird going into dragging babies. Although, I will confess Jay and I did go into 1 little bar and have a quick beverage. Don't worry no one else was in there to judge us, and the kids totally entertained the bartender. =)
