After my deboculous first day of pre-K you would think I would have pulled myself together for Kyle's second official day of school. Heck, I thought I did.
I dropped him of and was strong enough to hold back the tears. I had no guilt or anxiety. I was ready to run some errands and spend a little time with Hailey. It was good. I got so much done. I remembered everything, I even had Hailey fully dresses. I was on my A-game.
At 11am I ran home dropped off and put away some groceries, changed Hailey, and was back out to the car to pick up Kyle........GO ME!
But wait.....my car was locked. The keys were IN the car! Yeah I couldn't get IN my car to pick up Kyle. How my car locked is still a mystery to me. I called Jay in a panic and told him someone had to come unlock my car NOW...I had to leave to pick up Kyle from school 5 minutes ago!
Thank goodness for my neighbor!!!! Thank GOD she was home!!!! Thank God she has kids!!! I ran over and basically stole her keys. Don't tell her, but I drove that thing like I was going for first in the Indi. 500.
I got to the school 2 minutes late and apologized to the teachers profusely for being late. Thankfully they understood and assured me that I really wasn't late. This of course is the conversation I am having OVER Kyle crying and yelling "You don't leave me".
