One of the best days ever is when your baby first says "Mama". It makes you feel special. It makes you feel known. This name makes you feel powerful and loved.
Now "mama" just drives me CRAZY!!! I actually timed how much silence I had between hearing "mama" the other day. I had to in order to keep myself sane. Oh, and the way they both say "mama" Kyle with a small shout "Ma-Ma" and Hailey "Mama, Mama,Mama" The LONGEST they went without saying "Mama" over a 3 hour period was 2 minutes and 37 seconds. No, I am NOT kidding. AND YES..I acknowledged them every time.
Sweet Jesus Thank you for making me a mother...but if they call me one more time I may scream! I will even admit Jason and I went to the store the other day and they were both shouting "mama" like seagulls cawing on a beach; I turned to another woman and said "who is there mother, and where is she? Those poor babies". I'm sorry..I just needed a moment!
Maybe it's the weather. Jackson is the whiniest little mama's boy on the planet! I am glad it's only one of them right now! Two is going to be a headache...
