Ducks and Geese and Fish, Oh My!

While grocery shopping we found loaves of day old bread for $1. I could not let the bread just go to waste, and I knew exactly what to do with it.  Feed the ducks and geese!  We have a spot right by our house with a bunch of them!
When we first got there Kyle and Hailey were very timid.

I have to admit, I was a little nervous too.  There were  A LOT of ducks and geese and some of them were quite aggressive.  They hissed and squawked at us and ripped bread right out of my hand. I stayed calm, took control and then the kids let loose and had fun!

After a quick diaper change and some very serious sanitizing we went to visit Grandma at work.  Kyle got to ride the tractors!
Knowing Daddy was on his way home and promising to take us fishing I made the kids a quick dinner: veggie pattie, cheez-its, banana, and milk.  While making dinner Kyle got a hold of the hose and soaked his sister.

But, she got him back =)

The two of them were so excited to see Daddy they wanted to wait outside for him.  I wanted them to eat, so we had a little picnic =)
Once Kyle saw Daddy's truck he was DONE he went and got his fishing rod and net to go fishing with Daddy.  Hailey and I didn't end up going.  She was in one of her Diva modes, and to be honest I was tired.  Wouldn't you know the one time Hailey and I don't go daddy and Kyle catch a TON of fish!

It was great father son time for Daddy and Kyle and terrific Mommy- Hailey time.
All in all a really good, unexpected, exciting day =)
