This year we celebrated Brightie's ___ birthday. It is certainly not a bad number, just not a number I know she wants the world to know. But it was a special birthday; and certainly one worth celebrating. We wanted to do something special. Taking her to a nice dinner with three grandchildren ages 2 and under can be difficult. We were able to come up with something even better! Brightie always says "I love a picnic" so a pic-nic-ing we did go.
It was a gorgeous day outside. I think the best part of the day was that Grandma and Grandpa had their 3 grand kids there
There was a little outdoor adventure as well. Jay went fishing in the little stream and actually CAUGHT 3 good size fish!
Kyle was fearless and took right after his Dad. He grabbed that bass with no fear.
After a delicious picnic, and a little fun in the sun we left the Wayside Inn Grist Mill and tried a little offshore fishing with the kids.
Unfortunately we didn't catch anything. But it was a lot of fun, and the first day of a new activity we really enjoy as a family....fishing =)
Especially for this little guy =)
