There is one New England fall activity that just has to happen every year. Apple Picking!!! Would you believe we nearly missed it? We usually go every year with Jay's family. With our hectic schedule and everyones busy lives for some reason we just didn't go this year. I was going to take the babes a few times on my own, but either something came up or we did something else.
Knowing this week was going to be beautiful (nearly 70) I looked on line at some of the "farms" and orchards I knew of and most of them were closed! I was so disappointed we missed the season. Then, I learned from my sister in law Taugus Farm was open and had apples! I had never heard of Taugus Farm, but they had apples so we were going!
Jason even came home early because the weather was so nice and he didn't want to miss a special day =)
A beautiful spring like day in late fall, an orchrard with a bunch of apples left, fun apple picking, some fun in the playground. It was a great DeVincent Day; and as much as I love doing things with other people and other families; it was nice to be out and about just the four of us.
The day wasn't over we topped it off with a delicious dinner at The Olive Garden.
Finally we went apple picking AND had a nice family day out and about. I love it!
