I don't know if I was a little bummed or psyched we were doing nothing for New Year. I know I am going to sound like and old fogey mom, but I would rather just stay home than venture out on the roads at all. PLUS, I am preggers now, so its not like I can really "party", and I'm kind of over it anyway
Though we had so many places to go for New Year we chose to just have a quiet night at home the 4 of us. It was really just another night.
The kids did not want to get naked for the tubby, all they wanted was for Daddy to turn the lights on the tree. So we struck a deal, you get naked for tubby, we'll turn on the tree, and it worked! I captured (just in time) the perfect picture to ring in 2012! =)
After some Chinese food, tubbies, and getting the kids in bed Jason and I put the couches together and enjoyed a few movies from the 80's. Karate Kid and Ghostbusters =) Two classics =)
I'm not going to lie, we didn't see much of the movies.....nooooo not because we were being frisky (where is your head?) we fell asleep! Yeah I admitted it. I am even going to admit that we both woke up at 7:58pm thinking it was near midnight and both shocked with how early we fell asleep. We were struggling! I was able to rally a little better than Jase, but we both SAW midnight! So did the kids! Hailey woke up around 11:30 with some dream and she woke up Kyle so we rang in 2012 together with hugs, kisses, and snuggles in bed. Not a bad way to end 2011.
Happy 2012 Everyone. Hope it is full of love, luck, laughter, health and happiness.
