There have been a couple times I have tried to get the kids to take a shower. Usually just "squeezed for time" situations but the would never comply. In recent months I have come to thoroughly enjoy my shower time. Why? Because I was ALONE. It was 10 minutes I had to myself. Granted a lot of times the kids would be in and out of the bathroom, but never bother me in the shower.
UNTIL last week....
All of a sudden the curtain whipped open and I had 2 naked babies climbing into the shower with me. Yes, they undressed themselves and totally intruded on my shower, my time...the only alone time I had! Just my luck they "love taking a shower".
It was a blessing in disguise because when we went down to Falmouth for the 4th the tub was broken and they had to take showers. It is much easier to wash babies who are cooperative and "love taking a shower" than ones who a year ago screamed bloody murder because they only wanted a tubby.
Here at home we still have tubbies, but times like tonight we mix it up and give them a shower. Hey, they cleaned up all the toys in the living room because they wanted a shower. BONUS!!!!
