Davis' Farmland

I love that I am able to be a stay-at-home Mom.  I really do.  I know how lucky and how blessed I am to be able to spend so much time with my children.  I savor every second of it. BUT lets be honest it can get a little boring sometimes.  I love going for walks, and playing with the kids outside but it feels like the same thing all the time.  I try to spice it up with different activities, but really; it is quite repetitive.   I feel as though in the winter, I can handle it.  Its cold out, I am not a fan of the snow so staying in and finding things to do....it's planned, it's expected. In the summer.....we should be out and about all the time doing everything everywhere!!!

So whats something to do when its nice out and your looking for a fun family day???
 Davis' Farmland!!

It is an awesome place to just watch your children learn, play and explore.

As soon as we walked in there were kittens to pet and play with and bunnies to brush.

There are baby animals that you can pet and admire. (watch where you step)

You can get cups of animal food and feed all sorts of fun farm animals.

You can observe some birds in their farmland habitat.

or just run around and play
Kyle was excited about the reptile barn.

He wanted a picture of the fish and the turtle....

and a picture of the snake.  He even helped snap the photos!

This bull kinda grossed me out.....he has a very long tongue.  I made Raina feed him until I got a decent shot =)

There was even a little hayride....

I love this picture of my cousin Raina and her son =)

I even learned a little something on the hayride: Llamas are natural, inherent protectors of sheep.  If a wolf comes they will instinctively protect a sheep.  I found this particularly interesting because I always wondered why I would always see a llama in a stall with several sheep.  Now I know!

After lunch the kids got to explore a little.

Then, it was off to the spray park.....

The bubble zone was a huge hit for Kyle and Taylor.

Hailey (despite having on an adorable bikini) wanted nothing to do with the splash park or the bubbles. She just wanted to be near her baby cousin Lucas.

Kyle on the other hand would NOT get out of the bubble zone.  He was one of the littlest guys in there, and he LOVED it!!!

After an amazing day with our cousins it was time to go home, but too early for bed.  Jason and I had to keep them awake for a few hours.  So, what better way to kill some time but to take the kids fishing?

We only caught some sun fish, but a fish is a fish =)

Thanks Karen, Chris, Jameson, Wesley, Lucas, Raina, Taylor and Nolan.  We had such a FUN day!  What are we doing next week???
