It seems like forever since the last time the four of us went out as a family. Don't misunderstand, we have gone out and done things, but its with other family members or friends; or the four of us just staying home together. It just seems like its been a while since just the four of us went out as a family.
Saturday we went to the mall. Which presented a few challenges because we forgot the stroller and the mall was packed BUT we were together. We had fun. After a couple hours of browsing and shopping we hit the mall courtyard. Which is very unlike us. Jay even asked "in 17 years have we ever eaten in a mall courtyard together?" Which I replied with a laugh and a No. Good to know we are still sharing some firsts together after all these years (wink wink).
The courtyard was also fun and helpful. Yes, I said helpful. My children rarely if ever have McDonald's or Burger King. So I figured what a treat. I ordered them kids nuggets and fries and they STILL didn't want to eat it. WHY WON'T THEY EAT? Ahh the power of quarters and mall rides. With every bite came a quarter and hence a ride on their choice of car, helicopter or apple with caterpillar.
Lunch and our day at the mall commenced with a nice carousel ride, and me finding my camera.
I love my little family. I love our little nothing days. I love the fun we find in sharing a random day together.
I am a blessed and lucky girl.
