Laundromat..and My BAD Attitude

Unfortunately, and quite annoyingly our washing machine is temporarily out of order.  Not a good thing for me at all because I am not a huge fan of doing laundry, so I do my best to stay on top of it.  To do so I do a load of laundry a day.  PLUS I changed all the sheets and being the clean freak I am I can not just let the laundry pile grow and grow.  I did consider it. I thought about doing 9 loads of laundry on Tuesday. BUT then I thought about the Sears guy walking into my laundry room (scheduled between 1 and 5pm Monday)and seeing ALL of the laundry piles, AND what if he (heaven forbid) can't fix it the same day... THEN WHAT????

So it was off to the laundromat for me..and Hailey and Kyle.  This sounds like it wouldn't be such a big deal, but for me, today, it was.  I have been with my screaming, non stop fighting, difficult children for a few weeks with NO BREAKS not even tubby time.  They want ME to do EVERYTHING for them.  Not even Dad can change a diaper (which is super annoying).  So the last thing I wanted was to pack them up and bring them with me to do laundry.  Jason was working so I had no choice.  I loaded the car with 7 loads of laundry, packed up all the soap, bleach and softener I had, and brought the babes with me.  My negative attitude tagged along too.

We got to the laundromat, I unloaded the car, and filled the washers- almost 2 entire rows of machines with clothes. Thankfully and surprisingly we were the only ones there on a Saturday at 9am.  Then I looked to my children and had to smile.  There they were so intrigued with this new space and aisles to run through. My attitude was adjusted. I was happy to have them with me and be around them and kinda psyched all this laundry would be done in a few hours as opposed to a few days.

I love how kids really can make the best out of every situation and make fun out of nothing. I also love that I remembered to take my camera and got to take a couple shots of our day.
The the attendant came out and turned on the TV which provided the perfect time for a snack.

Then, Daddy showed up.  Daddy's always seem to find even more fun, and do things this Mommy just would not think to do.  Mostly because I would be afraid of bothering someone else, or the owner thinking I did not respect the premises. But Daddy just plays =)

So, it wasn't the relaxing Saturday I had planned. My attitude wasn't very positive this morning and though I love my children I didn't like them a whole lot. BUT having a random day with my family-even just at the laundromat brightened the bad in me and helped me to have a quite productive day.  Hey, I am in love.  I seem to fall in love again at the most random times, like at the laundromat.
