LICE!!

 

OMG one of my bug fears had come to light and I was not happy about it.

 

Hailey had been scratching and itching her head for a few days.  I knew lice were in her classroom but when I checked I never saw anything.

 

Then, I was brushing her hair and I found what looked like cracked popcorn kernals or seeds in her hair. I FREAKED OUT!  I looked on line and learned that these were probably hatched eggs.  

 

EGGS?!? That meant that there was a bug to lay eggs!  Where was the bug now?  I saw no bug?  I immediately began making phone calls and bagging everything in the house.

 

Never having to deal with lice before I called anywhere, everywhere and anyone I could to get rid of these bugs ASAP.  I ended up with a company called lice doctors.  A woman was going to come to our home to treat the family.  Unfortunately, there was a Patriots game, which meant traffic for her.  She would get to our home after 9pm which meant we would be up past midnight all getting treated.  She spoke with me on the phone for over 45 minutes educating me more about lice and how to treat my family.

 

The next day and $300 later no lice were found in any of our heads and I was rest assured on how to deal with this situation if it were to ever arise again...but for the love of God...please don't get lice again!!!!!
