I always do my best to make birthdays and holidays special. Jay isn't into my ridiculousness, but he tolerates it. For his birthday he went away for a fishing weekend with 2 of my brothers and 3 of his friends. From the pictures I'd say he had fun =)
After a muttled version of "Happy Birthday" came the best part:
Blowing out the candles. I hope even if your kids blow out your candles for you that your birthday wish will come true.
But WE had to do something for him as well. I offered to make him anything he wanted for dinner, or to take him anywhere he wanted: He was over meat after the weekend with the guys so it was out for Italina at the Chateau for dinner.
After a nice family dinner we headed home for his party:
Hailey and I decorated while Kyle and Daddy mowed the lawn =)
We got him a custom birthday cake from Trombetta's....one of the best ice cream places ever!!! Coffee Oreo and Chocolate Chip per Jason's request =)
I'm not sure who enjoyed it more. Jay or the kids, they picked out the decorations and candles for him and of course put the candles on the cake.
Happy Birthday Jason! Thank you for sharing yet another birthday with me. I hope we made it a special and memorable one for you and that all your birthday wishes come true.
