I can't tell a lie. When it comes to St. Patrick's Day I always have the idea to do some fun crafts, and make some fun food for the kids. But I never do. I am too busy trying to figure out my plans for going out!
This year, most everyone had to work, or wasn't very excited. Then we had plans, and I broke them to spring clean..(I know I am embarrassed but I am really trying to get stuff done)
However, I did not just let the day pass. I made the most of it. =)
Hailey and I painted our nails the night before green =)
We made shamrock pancakes for breakfast.
They loved them!
Then, we dressed up and geared up.
Knowing my beads were not going to be getting me any beer this year I sent Kyle and Hailey to school with enough beads for their teachers and classmates.
When they got home my straws went to good use =)
So, No I did not go out. I did not celebrate. There was no corned beef and cabbage (I am not a huge fan of it anyway). In fact, we had American chop suey for dinner. There was no beer in hand. No adult day out.
Sure, I bought pudding to make a rainbow dessert and didn't. No I did not put out a leprechaun trap or do anything creative with my little ones.
BUT we DID shamROCK it out! =)
Maybe a party next year instead???
