Easter was a very happy and joyous day this year, and went rather smoothly compared to our last few Easters. No sick kids, or worrying about.
Our morning started early 6:30 am. We woke up to Hailey coming into our room so excited that she found a hidden Easter egg. Then we heard the crumple of little hands digging through their baskets and "WOW!" "Look!"! So we were up and at 'em for the day =)
After rifling through their baskets it was time for them to hunt for eggs.
Yes, their was a little fighting. Hailey was finding eggs left and right, and Kyle wasn't thrilled about it. but, it was still a lot of fun to watch.
Then, it was time to get dressed and go to church to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. What Easter is really all about. =)
After church we met the DeVincent side of the family at Olive Garden (something different) for Easter dinner. Then, it was off to Grandma and Grandpa DeVincents for another egg hunt and some time with their cousins.
Unfortunately we couldn't stay too long. We had to head off to the DiModica side of the family for another egg hunt, more Easter gifts and some yummy desserts.
I have to say overall it was a fantastic day full of love, family and deliciousness. I have to say my favorite part of the day was early in the morning though. Listening to our little ones get so excited about the Easter bunny coming to the house. Sitting on the couch with Jason just watching our babies with so much love; and seeing pure love in Jay's face as he watched Kyle and Hailey run around, in pure joy and innocence.
We sure are blessed!
