I have been wanting my husband to come to the kids gymnastics class and music class since we began. I just wanted him to see what I get to see. I feel so blessed that I get to stay at home with them, and know them the way I do. I sometimes feel guilty, so him coming to their classes would just give him a chance to see another side, or another piece of them. Well, he finally made it to a gymnastics class. The class started out really well.
Then, the "bounce runway" came out. The kids LOVED it, and then it needed to be put away. Kyle was so upset to see it go. He basically melted down. But, this was not my first Kyle meltdown, I have been around this block before. I had a little talk with him and let him sit by the wall so he could calm down. Usually, if I ignore this behavior he eventually comes around and joins back in the fun. However, Jason was there today. He couldn't just watch Kyle be upset (especially in front of the other parents) so he sat with him. Which really just escalated the situation. So, I had to take him outside of the class. I have NEVER had to do that before.
FIGURES! Jay comes to see them have fun in their class that he works hard so we can even do these activities and Kyle doesn't participate! The bright side was he got to spend a little alone fun time with Hailey. In between moments of calming and talking with Kyle I was able to snap a couple shots =)
It also figures that the ONE time this overly prepared Mama does not have an extra pair of pants for Hailey she sits in water in the class and soaks her bum, BUT in my defense there isn't supposed to be water in the class: Alexandria's Nanny!!!!!
So Jason FINALLY comes to class and I looked like an unprepared train wreck and Kyle misbehaved. Thank goodness he loves me and knows I am not usually like this. Thank goodness there were other mommies to verify Kyle and Hailey were NEVER like this before. Thank goodness there were other mommies there that understood I was a little upset.
Thank you Jason for coming to class. Thank you for working so hard for us so we can even do these things. I hope you'll surprise us soon and come to another class. They really do love it.
On a plus side another "finally" moment. Hailey got to walk in the supermarket like her big brother. Yes, my buggy finally got her wish and was able to seek freedom from the cart. Another mini milestone in her life =)
