Mall Moments

After not feeling well for a few weeks I finally had some energy today and got out of the house.  First, it was a quick trip to Target, and then....ummm. Well why not go to the mall.  I do try to avoid the mall this time of year but it was lunch time and why travel to and frow when I could get all I needed at the mall?

First, lunch.  The kids shared a Burger King kids meal (chicken nuggets and fries, with some milk).  I had a salad from D'Angelo's- in case you were wondering. You would think a TREAT like Burger King would be FUN!  Not for Kyle.  He doesn't eat.  The kid just doesn't eat!  It is the most frustrating thing in the world.  I actually find myself bartering with him to take bites..and his bites aren't even bites they are dainty tastes at best.  Even with fun nuggets and fries!  Lunch today was no different.  Only, my bartering tool- the rides at the mall.

Despite my GREAT and stubborn effort I kind of felt bad for those around me and after eating what would probably add up to a nugget and a half, and a few fries the kids got to ride.

I forget about the rides at the mall and the merry-go-round.  I have to keep it better in mind for winter weather.  Even despite only having my cell phone for a camera (waiting for a new battery charger) I was able to capture the moment.  But really seeing them prance about and laugh and smile.  It was a BLAST!  I wish I could better capture the moment but  for some reason today it really warmed my heart.

Kyle kept coming over "Quarters Mama please." He would count "One, Two, Three Quarters Mama. Start" and they would ride.  It was cute.  Who knew an unexpected trip to the mall would be so fun and so heart melting.  Next time, rides AND Santa.
