No Babies This Year!

St.Patrick's Day is a day my cousin and I enjoy going out together. We get all dressed up and enjoy food, fun and of course beer. Last year we brought Kyle with us to the restaurant/bar. It was a little weird, but my cousins had their kids there so I didn't feel as badly about it. AND I was pregnant soooo why not bring a baby to a bar?

This year after 2 YEARS of being pregnant and missing St.Patty's , Jay and I hit the town, and enjoyed ourselves. In fact I was in such a rush to get out the door I didn't even snap pics of the kids in their green gear! (bad mommy)

BUT, after seeing my little cousins there again, and a bunch of their little friends Jason and I really missed Kyle and Hailey. Funny how things and days change, and change meaning when you have children. I used to love St.Patrick's Day because we could let loose and drink and throw all caution to the wind. Not so much now. I still had a blast and love the festivities of the day. But, I enjoy sharing those moments as a family. We are so focused on getting home safely and not wanting to feel hungover that the day has changed a bit. Maybe we will bring the babies to the bar next year =) Or maybe we will just spend the day as a family foursome. OR maybe Jay and I will just hit up the town and rock our Irish out! Parents need to let loose sometimes too...I just have to remember that =)
